What is prp therapy surgery in Hyderabad?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy uses your own blood. A sample is drawn, spun in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets and growth factors, then injected into the thinning scalp. Those growth factors extend the anagen growth phase and improve the calibre of miniaturising hairs.
PRP is not a replacement for a transplant — it cannot regrow hair where follicles are gone. What it does well at our Hyderabad clinic is reduce active shedding, thicken existing hair, and protect the result after a transplant. We use a double-spin protocol and measure results with standardised photography rather than impressions.

PRP Therapy procedure steps
Step 01
Blood draw
15–20ml of your blood is drawn, exactly as for a routine blood test.
Step 02
Double-spin centrifugation
Two controlled spins separate and concentrate the platelet fraction, discarding red cells and platelet-poor plasma.
Step 03
Scalp preparation
Topical anaesthetic or a nerve block keeps the injections comfortable across the thinning zones.
Step 04
Injection
Plasma is injected in a grid pattern at dermal depth, roughly one centimetre apart across the treatment area.
Recovery time after prp therapy
Recovery needs vary. Mild tenderness and a feeling of tightness last a few hours, and you can drive yourself home and return to work immediately.
Avoid hair colour, chemical treatments and heavy sweating for 48 hours. Most patients notice reduced shedding after the second or third session.
Progress is tracked with photographs at each visit so we can stop or change the plan if the response is not measurable.
