GFC Hair Treatment in Hyderabad — Growth Factor Concentrate Therapy
Growth factor concentrate therapy for early-stage thinning and post-op support.
What is gfc treatment surgery in Hyderabad?
Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC) is the next iteration of platelet therapy. Rather than injecting concentrated platelets, the platelets are deliberately activated in the tube so that the growth factors they carry — PDGF, VEGF, EGF and IGF — are released before injection, giving a purer and more consistent dose.
Because GFC is cell-free at the point of injection, patients typically report less post-treatment soreness than with PRP. At our Banjara Hills clinic we use GFC for early thinning, for patients who responded weakly to PRP, and as post-transplant support from the second month.
Who is GFC Treatment suitable for?
- Early to moderate pattern thinning with miniaturised but living follicles
- Patients who found PRP uncomfortable or saw a limited response
- Post-transplant patients supporting graft survival and native hair
- Anyone wanting a non-surgical first step before considering grafting
GFC Treatment procedure steps
Step 01
Blood collection
Around 16ml of blood is drawn into specialised GFC tubes.
Step 02
Activation
Platelets are activated inside the tube so growth factors are released into the plasma.
Step 03
Separation
A controlled spin isolates a clear, cell-free growth factor concentrate.
Step 04
Scalp injection
The concentrate is injected across the thinning zones in a fine grid at dermal depth.
Recovery time after gfc treatment
Recovery needs vary. Most patients return to work straight away with only mild scalp tenderness for a few hours.
Normal washing resumes the next day; skip colouring and heavy sweating for 48 hours. Reduced shedding usually appears after the second session.
Standardised photographs at each visit measure response, and we tell you plainly if a course is not working for you.
